The Best Intentions

I’ve been away at a Macrobiotics retreat for 5 days now. No caffeine, no sugar, no alcohol, no meat, no yeast products (aka no bread), no T.V., sloooooow Wi-Fi, but mucho veggies, and an atmosphere that encourages Healthy Living and Peace in the World.

It’s quite simple, Really. But not all that is simple is Easy. Do good, avoid evil. Simple. Just say ‘No’. Simple. Again, not necessarily easy.

From Tricycle Magazine’s Daily Dharma: Life itself is a balancing act.
Looking after oneself, one looks after others.
Looking after others, one looks after oneself…
How does one look after oneself by looking after others?
By patience, non-harming, loving-kindness, and caring.

All karma, based as it is on intention, effects not only the world ‘out there’ but also one’s own disposition & character. Everything we say and do, and think shapes who we are. Look inward, carefully & often, and keep your balance.

Our current paths are the Greatest Journey towards the last Greatest Experience of our lives, let’s make the most of it, and what’s the best we can leave behind when we go on? Gone, gone, gone beyond.

Would love to hear from you!
